The Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, has emphasized that industrial transformation is a vital part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

During the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference, the minister stated that industrialization is a key driver of economic growth, job creation, and foreign investment.

He highlighted the administration’s seventh agenda, which focuses on industrialization, and noted that President Tinubu’s decision to designate two ministers to the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment demonstrates the government’s commitment to accelerating Nigeria’s economic transformation.

Senator Enoh also shared that he recently became the first Nigerian minister to visit the Savé Sugar Company in the Republic of Benin since its establishment in 1975.

He announced that a joint Nigeria-Benin committee has been created to investigate the challenges faced by the sugar company and to propose solutions, including securing investors to revive its operations.

His remarks were part of the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference, a weekly platform for engaging Nigerians both at home and abroad. During a one-hour Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to interact directly with Senator Enoh.

Amb. Joseph Kolawole Adebola, the host and Chairman of the conference, praised the minister for his insightful presentation and recognized the participation of high-ranking government officials.

He urged Nigerians to remain patient with the administration’s reforms, stressing that temporary economic challenges would ultimately lead to long-term prosperity.

“We need the 4 Ps: Patience, Perseverance, Patriotism, and Prayers,” Adebola stated.

The virtual conference was attended by notable government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Dr. George Akume, CON; Hon. Babatunde Ogala, SAN, Senior Counsel to President Tinubu and Grand Patron of the event; and Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, Director-General/CEO of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, as well as the British Trade Envoy to Nigeria and British Member of Parliament, Florence Eshalomi MP, among others.
