The businessman and philanthropist-turned-politician officially announced his defection, describing the APC as the best platform to drive development.

Recently, some LP House of Representatives member defected to the APC few weeks ago

In a letter addressed to the APC Chairman of Ward 4, Sagamu Local Government, on Monday, George announced his defection alongside his team and key supporters, expressing confidence in the party’s vision for national progress.

Pledging loyalty to the APC, he assured party leaders of his commitment to strengthening its structure and enhancing its electoral prospects.

“This decision marks a new chapter in our political journey. We are dedicated to working with the APC to achieve success and good governance,” he stated.

The Aare Tayese of Ikenne highlighted youth inclusion, infrastructure development, and quality representation as key reasons for his return to the ruling party.

He lamented the state of neglect faced by young people and the lack of basic amenities, emphasizing that the APC is actively bridging these gaps.

George, who contested the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 House of Representatives election, vowed to contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth and unity.
