Felicitations have continued to pour in from personalities and groups for the newly elected President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Sen. John Azuta-Mbata.
In various statements, they expressed confidence that Azuta-Mbata will unite and effectively position the Igbo race in the nation’s political landscape.
They tasked the new President General with the protection of cultural heritage and restoration of security and tranquillity in Igbo land.
Among those who made this call were the former Abia State Governor, Dr Orji Kalu; Enyinnaya Abaribe, leader of the South-East Senate caucus; and the Ndigbo Youth Parliament.
Azuta-Mbata emerged President General after an election held on Friday at the Old Government Lodge in Enugu.
In his own statement, Sen. Kalu expressed confidence that the new PG would use his wealth of experience, credentials, and expertise to champion the cause of the Ndi Igbo and strategically position the Igbo people in the nation’s political landscape.
“Over the years, you have established yourself as a distinguished businessman, politician, and statesman, serving Rivers State and Nigeria with excellence and dedication”.
