Lagos State chapters of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Radio, Television, Theatre, and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) have jointly shut down the Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation (LSBC).
In December, the LTV employees had raised concerns about inadequate welfare provisions affecting their well-being.
The unions said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was insensitive to the welfare of workers within the state’s broadcasting organs.
The Workers expressed frustration over unresolved issues, including poor remuneration, lack of adequate resources, and unfavorable working conditions.
