A trigger-happy policeman has reportedly shot dead a 17-year-old boy, Emeka Odogwu, in Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday night, December 8.

The incident occurred over an argument related to the use of fireworks popularly known as ‘banger’.

The deceased was said to have attempted to escape when one of the policemen reportedly opened fire and killed him.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said the officer has been arrested and detained.
