Ondo State’s election observer group, Yiaga Africa, says electoral offenders arrested during the governorship election should be prosecuted in accordance with the law.

This is part of the eight points included in the recommendations put forward by the organization in its reaction to the outcome of the election.

Addressing a media conference in Akure, the state capital, the chairman of Yiaga’s 2024 Ondo election mission, Ezenwa Nwagwu, commended the people of the state for upholding peace during the voting, counting, collation of election results across the state.

He, however, condemned the incidents of vote buying in the election, noting that it is a major threat to the credibility of the electoral process.
