As part of preparations towards the handing over to the incoming government, Edo State and its Governor, Godwin Obaseki has said it would be holding a joint inauguration of transition committees on Friday.

DAILY POST reports that the joint transition committees’ members to be inaugurated scheduled to take place at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, JOOPSA are the Edo State 2024 transition committee and the APC transition committee members.

The outgoing State Governor, Obaseki had last July constituted a 24-man member transition committee headed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Victor Eboigbe.

The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, disclosed this at a press conference on Thursday in Benin City.

Nehikhare also confirmed the State Government’s receipt of the 24-man list of the APC and its governor-elect transition committee.

He said the primary objective of the Transition Committee was to facilitate a smooth handing over of government.

He, however, said the State Government looks forward to the
collaborative efforts of all members in ensuring a seamless transition.

The commissioner added that the two committees are made up of 48 members with the State Government and APC having 24 members each.

Nehikhare gave the names of the 24-member committee as Mr Joseph Eboigbe SSG/Chairman, Eire. Ifueko Alufohai, Secretary Coordinator, Mr. Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi Advisor, Isoken Omo Advisor, Joan Oviawe Advisor, Mr. Igberaese G.O, Engr. Enabulele Ferguson.

Also in the list are Mr Anelu Julius, Mr Efe Iserhienrhien, Mrs Osaro Aihie, Mrs Igbinogbaro Bose Joy, Yuwa Naps, Mr Jude Ekpu, Dr. Stanley Ehiarimwian, Mrs Akhigbe Joy, Mrs Imuetinyan Akin-Omyajowo.

Others are, Mrs Agbonlahor Edugie, Dr Henry Idogun, Mr Isaac Ebewele, Mrs Osayamen Mokogwu, Mr Fidelis Imiebiakhe, Anthony Okungbowa, Head of Service, Hon Chris Nehikhare, Commissioner for
Communication and Orientation and Mrs Deborah Enakhimion, Permanent Secretary, SSG

The APC committee is headed by Dr Pius Odubu, the former Deputy Governor of the state while other members are Dr Matthew Urhoghide, Pastor Osagie Izelyamu, Andrew Adaze Enwanta, Washington Osifo, Nosa Adams, Omosede Igbinedion, Paul Ohonbamu.

The list also includes Edo Omorogieva, Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, Taiwo Akerele, Godwin Eshieshie, Yakson Musa, Kazeem Afegbua, Ohio Omo Ezomo, Gani Audu.

Other members of the committee are Dr Aminu Imafidon, Prof Oyaziwo Aluede, Prof. Mrs Eunice Omonzejie, Matthew Egbadon, Dr Tony Ikpasaja, Felix Akhabue, Kingsley Ehigiamusor and Dr Frank Omoh.
