Appointment letters for 7000 newly recruited primary school teachers in Oyo State will be distributed soon.
Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran gave this assurance in Ibadan.
Dr. Adeniran who was featuring on the BCOS TV live Yoruba breakfast programme, Kutuhai explained that the final process of the recruitment exercise is awaiting Governor Seyi Makinde’s assent.
He revealed that out of over 8000 that passed the computer based test (CBT), those with the prerequisite educational knowledge were considered for appointment, while special consideration was also given to people with special needs.
The SUBEB boss also guaranteed that standard quality assurance in the state basic education system will not be compromised.
He however urged parents and guardians to also play their roles in the proper monitoring of the educational development of their children and wards.
