In a demonstration of his unwavering dedication to youth development in Ijesaland, Prince Adebusuyi Tobiloba Adeleye was honoured by the Federation of Ijesa Students Union (FISU), Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun chapter, affiliated with Ekiti State University. The prestigious award underscores his tireless efforts in promoting the progress of Ijesa youths and his sustained support for student organizations across the region.
Prince Adeleye, who has served FISU in various leadership roles for three consecutive regimes, humorously remarked that the annual recognition has almost become a tradition. His impactful tenure began as National Vice-President in 2012 under the leadership of Uncle Jephthah Adeyemo, continued as National Financial Secretary during Uncle Olufemi Micheal Oluwatoba’s regime, and culminated as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Speaker Bepo Adeyemi Ademola and President Fapohunda Youngfaps Haryomidey’s regime.
This latest recognition is not just limited to FISU; Prince Adeleye’s influence on youth development has extended to other organizations where his efforts in agribusiness, leadership, and educational initiatives have been deeply appreciated. His commitment to the future of Ijesaland, driven by a belief in the power of its youth, remains a cornerstone of his mission.
Although unable to attend the ceremony due to his engagement as an agribusiness consultant for the Ijesaland Agricultural Hub, where he was spearheading projects to foster youth interest in agriculture, Rt. Hon. Austin Fapohunda graciously received the award on his behalf last weekend.
In response to the honour, Prince Adeleye expressed his deep appreciation to the FISU chapter at Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, and reiterated his commitment to supporting the National body and its chapters in future programmes. He emphasized that his journey to improve the lives of Ijesa youths is far from over, as he remains dedicated to fostering youth capacity development across Ijesaland.
Prince Adeleye, Immediate Past National Vice-President of the Ijesa Youth Forum, continues to inspire young leaders through his work, proving that with dedication and passion, extraordinary achievements can be realized for the collective future of Ijesaland.
