The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has acknowledged the circulation of a video showing a woman allegedly held captive at Top View Hotel in Wuse, Abuja, on September 17, 2024. The incident reportedly involves a suspected internet fraudster believed to be attempting a money ritual.

In a press release signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the police revealed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken the suspect into custody. However, the NSCDC has not yet handed over the suspect to the police for further investigation.
