With heavy hearts, we, the members of the Progressives Yes Forum (PYF), join the people of Oyo State and the entire nation in mourning the passing of a towering progressive leader, Chief Michael Koleoso. His departure is not just a loss to his immediate family but a monumental blow to the progressive movement in Oyo State and beyond.
Chief Koleoso was not merely a political figure; he was a pillar of progressivism, a steadfast protector of the ideals espoused by Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and a guiding father of the PYF. Alongside Alhaji Lam Adesina, Chief Koleoso nurtured and supported the PYF from its infancy, ensuring that the principles of justice, equity, and the welfare of the people remained at the forefront of our cause.
His life was marked by an unyielding commitment to the betterment of society. As a silent yet powerful protector of Awolowo’s legacy, Chief Koleoso’s influence was felt across the length and breadth of Oyo State. His wisdom, humility, and unwavering dedication to the cause of the common man set him apart as a leader of remarkable depth and integrity.
The void left by Chief Koleoso’s passing is immeasurable, but so too is the legacy he leaves behind. His spirit will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold the values he so passionately championed. His life serves as a reminder of the power of principled leadership, and it is now our responsibility to carry forward the torch that he has passed on to us.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life dedicated to service, to the advancement of progressivism, and to the upliftment of the people. Chief Koleoso’s legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, and his memory will continue to guide the path of the PYF and all who believe in a just and equitable society.
Rest in peace, Chief Michael Koleoso. Your life’s work has left an indelible mark on us all, and your spirit will forever remain a beacon of hope and strength for generations to come.
Signed,
Comrade Wole Abisoye Engr. Fawole Taiwo G Chairman (PYF) Secretary (PYF)
