Akure, Ondo State – Renowned businesswoman and Idoani native, Mrs. Mojisola Alabi Harrison, has made a passionate appeal to the Ondo State Government to urgently rehabilitate the deplorable Oba-Akoko-Ikun-Afo-Idoani road in Ose Local Government Area.

Describing the road as a “death trap”, Mrs. Harrison emphasized that its rehabilitation is crucial for the safety and economic growth of the people.

She specifically called on Governor Oluwarotimi Aiyedatiwa to take immediate action, noting that the rehabilitation would boost agricultural production, enhance economic growth, improve security, and facilitate access to healthcare, education, and social services for rural communities.

The deplorable condition of the road has denied many illustrious sons of Idoani access to their hometown, including: Maj Gen Seidu Balogun, Major Gen Olukolade, Brigadier Gen Gani Raji, Real Admiral OB Daji, Col John Afolabi, Major David Fatogun, Former Chief Judge of Lagos State, Ade Alabi, Former Top Federal Civil Servant and Former Commissioner in Ondo State, Mr. D.A. Ojo, among very many other important dignitaries from the town that are trapped and unable to visit their home town, Idoani.

Notably, Professor Yinka Olutoye, son of the Oba and celebrated in America and Nigeria for his remarkable achievements, is unable to visit his father due to the deplorable road condition.

Oba Maj General Olufemi Olutoye, The Alani of Idoani, will be delighted if the road is fixed, as it will enable him to receive dignitaries and well-wishers in a befitting manner.

Deborah Fatogun, APC UK chieftain, supported Mrs. Harrison’s call, urging Governor Aiyedatiwa to take immediate action to fix the road and unlock Idoani’s potential.

Mrs. Harrison emphasized that fixing the road would restore the community’s dignity and prosperity, urging the government to take action to address the plight of the people.
