The Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference (GVTHC) joins the world in celebrating the Youth, especially Nigerian Youth, on International Youth Day. It is a day to celebrate young Nigerians for their undying resilience, ingenuity, and limitless potential, which are exuded every moment among people globally.
Our outstanding young Nigerians, whose creativity is unprecedented, are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also the powerful force that gets our nation moving today. With their strength, innovation, and indefatigable spirits, they personify Nigeria’s future. Your achievements are a source of pride and inspiration for us all.
Our youth have remained undaunted, from the bustle of Lagos through the technology hubs of Abuja to the agriculture hub of Kaduna. Their resiliency is evident in their dogged quest for not just their future but also that of the rest of our nation, shaping a future filled with hope and promise.
Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Federal Government has recommitted itself to empowering the Nigerian youth with a number of robust and impactful initiatives. These programs are designed to be inclusive, unlocking opportunities for all young Nigerians, encouraging innovation and securing a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation. The impact of these initiatives reassures us of a brighter future and calls for our continued support.
The Youth-Focused initiatives include but are not limited to:
NYEP – National Youth Empowerment Program. A pet project designed to train young Nigerians on holistic skills development and entrepreneurship, coupled with financing, towards their being so they can help make meaningful contributions to the economy.
NYIF – Nigerian Youth Investment Fund. A special fund that disburses easy finance to innovative start-ups and small businesses managed by young entrepreneurs to fuel the rise of the next class of leading business leaders in Nigeria.
Digital Nigeria Initiative – This state-of-the-art program integrates the strategy for substantially reducing the digital divide by building the capacities of young Nigerians with relevant skills for massive opportunities in the global tech economy.
3MTT (Three Million Technical Talents) Program – An ambitious, targeted training program of three million young Nigerians in various technical and vocational skills to prepare them for success in the modern workforce.
Trade and Investment Grants to SMEs – Grant-in-aid program to support the small, micro, and medium enterprise (SME) sector in the hands of Nigerian youths to create entrepreneurship opportunities and spur economic growth.
As we join the world in marking International Youth Day, the Renewed Hope GVTHC reiterates its relentless commitment to supporting the Nigerian youths as they continue breaking new grounds and fresh sets of high standards of excellence. We urge all stakeholders, including government, private sector, and civil societies, to sustain and scale their investments towards our youths. With the unrelenting spirit of President Tinubu, through the collective hand-in-hand efforts of all citizens of Nigeria, the brightest days for our youth and, indeed, our nation are still ahead.
Happy International Youth Day!
