Protesters were seen holding the Russian flag while chanting songs in Hausa, and running through the streets in protest.

The DSS also confirmed the arrest of some tailors suspected to be mass-producing the Russian flags in Kano State. It said the sponsor has also been nabbed while an investigation is ongoing over the development.

The development comes as the #Endbadgovernance national protest against hunger and hardship enters Day 5 on Monday.
