Akure, Ondo State – In response to rising public discontent and a planned nationwide protest in August, the newly established Citizen Rights and Advisory Bureau (CRAB) has already begun playing a crucial role in addressing citizens’ concerns within 24 hours of its inauguration. The platform was created by the Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, and is one of the numerous steps taken by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to foster a cordial relationship between his administration and the people of Ondo State.

The CRAB is designed to provide guidance and redress for various issues affecting residents, including those that recently fueled threats of protests across the state. The bureau has seen an influx of citizens seeking justice and resolution for grievances against government bodies, corporate entities, and individuals, showcasing the urgency and necessity of such a platform.

Dr. Ajulo emphasized the importance of providing citizens with a reliable avenue to express their concerns without the need for protest, which can sometimes be hijacked by those with ulterior motives, thereby disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in Ondo State. “We understand the frustrations of our people, and that is why CRAB has been established – to ensure that their voices are heard and their issues addressed in a lawful manner,” he said.

Residents have lauded the swift action of the Attorney General, with many expressing relief that their grievances are now being addressed more effectively. The Citizen Rights and Advisory Bureau is a 24 Hours Interventionist Unit in the Office of the Attorney-General of Ondo State, located at the Ondo State Ministry of Justice, Akure and citizens are encouraged to visit the office or reach out through the designated contact line: 0915 575 9305 and 0707 351 8535

The Ondo State government continues to urge its citizens to utilize this opportunity to express their grievances peacefully and lawfully, ensuring that the state’s tranquillity is preserved.
