Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has sent a message of condolence to his successor, Senator Bukola Saraki, over the death of his mother, Madam Florence Morenike Saraki.

In the condolence message, Senator Mark described the late Madam Saraki as an ideal mother who was noble in words and deeds.

He noted that the success story of Senator Saraki and his siblings bears eloquent testimony that Madam Saraki gave her children a good upbringing and guidance to be responsible and patriotic citizens.

The former Senate President described Madam Saraki as “a kind and compassionate woman who made tremendous contributions to the development of society.”

He told Senator Saraki, “Your services and commitment to the ideals of nationhood, I believe, can be attributed to Mama’s hard work, care, and discipline, which she imparted on you to be a responsible and patriotic citizen.”

Senator Mark noted that the avalanche of encomium on Madam Saraki since her transition to the great beyond showed that she was a woman of valor who touched others in many positive ways.

The former Senate President therefore urged the Sarakis to uphold and indeed sustain the good attributes of Mama, especially her good neighborliness and philanthropy, which endeared her to many while she was alive.

Senator Mark prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, grants the deceased eternal rest, just as he prayed that the Almighty gives the immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss.
