The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 34 years serial fraudster, Adeniyi Sunday Talabi for duping 35 people.

In a statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, the suspect, who resides at Army Barracks Area, Kelebe, Iragbiji road, Osogbo was a manager in one of the First Bank Plc branches in Osogbo.

Falabi was arrested for alleged fraud, obtaining money under false pretence (OBT), conversion and stealing a sum of N650, 850,000 in an illegal product called PROOF of FUNDS which involved a total 35 victims.

The statement added that the suspect has been suspended by the First Bank Nigeria Plc.

According to the PPRO, investigation into the case has since commenced and the suspect and his accomplices would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mohammed Umar Abba has re-assured the people of the State of the Command’s commitment to rid the State of criminal elements.

He also warned perpetrators of crimes that Osun State will not be a safe haven or a hibernating ground for them.
