Peter addressed the press in Abuja Saturday where he talked about some pressing national issues.

Commenting on the crisis in his party, Obi said it would be resolved amicably.

According to Obi, the crises are not fundamental that they cannot be handled.

He noted that “What is happening in Labour Party is child’s play compared to what is going on in APC and PDP.”

The LP has recently been thrown into crisis leading to the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC leadership calling for the resignation of party’s national Chairman Julius Abure.

The Abure-led National Working Committee, NWC, of LP went ahead with its national convention which held in Nnewi, Anambra State, on Wednesday and reelected Abure to continue.

However, the NLC annulled the national convention that restored Abure, and his National Working Committee.

To fill the vacancy, the stakeholders stated that the Congress will form a transition committee to supervise the party’s business until new officers are chosen in three months.
