The owner of the two-storey building beside GTBank was said to have served the Kwara PDP a quit notice after failing to pay rent for years.

A source who pleaded anonymity said some party stakeholders decided not to pay the rent because the former senate president and leader of the Kwara PDP, Bukola Saraki, failed to explain how he spent the 2023 general elections campaign funds.

Recall that some members of the Kwara PDP resigned their membership a few weeks ago over the 2023 campaign funds allegedly embezzled by Saraki. The party’s former youth leader, Haliru Dantsoho, resigned after calling Saraki out over the misappropriated funds.

The source disclosed that Bukola Saraki had been briefed on the development and said the party Excos using the building should be working from home or be using his office in Mandate pending the time the issue will be solved.

The source added that the Landlord, after serving the Kwara PDP the quit notice, inscribed ‘this property is not for sale beware of 419’ on its fence.

The State executives who have rejected the former Senate President’s offer have resumed working from their respective homes.
