Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State vowed on Tuesday not to lose focus on fulfilling his promises to improve the lives of youths.
Fubara spoke during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2023 Batch C Stream II of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The governor said his administration would provide adequate security and welfare for corps members deployed to the state.
The governor, represented by Hamilton Amadi, the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Bureau, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, pledged to be steadfast and resolute in giving them the best dividends of democracy.
“I am confident that with God on our side, we will deliver; we will never lose focus in fulfilling our promises to uplift the quality of life for the youths as the bedrock of our society and, by doing so, make Rivers the envy of other states,” he said.
