Asiwaju 2023: TAG Takes Advocacy To Emir In Kano

In preparation for the upcoming campaign in September, The Asiwaju Group (TAG), one of the top support groups blazing the trail and campaigning for Asiwaju Tinubu, took a step further in its public advocacy for a Tinubu presidency come 2023. On Wednesday, August 31st 2022, TAG paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bichi, HRH Nasir Ado Bayero, for his blessing, collaboration and royal support.

The TAG team was led to the magnificent palace by its National Coordinator and Co-Coordinator, Hon Oyin Okewoye and Alhaji AbdulRasak Danjuma. Recall that the TAG conveners made a similar visit to the Emir of Daura a few weeks back.

The visiting team to the Emir in Kano included TAG NW Zonal Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Abdullahi, TAG Kano State Coordinator, Alhaji Mubarak Baffa, Alhaji Mustapha Danjuma, and Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Abba amongst others.

His Royal Highness who was quite impressed and delighted with the TAG visit averred that Asiwaju’s candidacy is celestial and reiterated his friendship with Asiwaju Tinubu. He praised Asiwaju for his staunch commitment to democracy over the years and prayed for the TAG group while pledging his full support to TAG.

The Royal Father also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his achievements in office and most importantly the support he has shown to our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He added that Asiwaju has the capacity and experience to propel Nigeria to prosperity and improved living standard.

The Asiwaju Group (TAG) has proven its mettle by continuously engaging major stakeholders across the six zones of Nigeria to spread its message of hope for a Tinubu presidency come 2023. The Buhari-led administration needs a courageous candidate with the requisite political experience, ability and competence to sustain its several milestones. TAG believes that personality is no other person than the Jagaban of Borgu kingdom.

His Highness, the Emir of Bichi worked with the Continental Merchant Bank Nigeria before he moved to Coastal Corporation Oil and Gas in Houston, Texas and Hamlet Investment Ltd in London. He later worked with the Presidency as an Administrative Officer.

As an accomplished Entrepreneur and Consummate Manager of people and business, he sits on the board of several businesses. Prominent amongst these are SELAT Petroleum (Nigerian Independent Producer), Platform Petroleum Limited (Nigerian Independent Producer), and Intels (Oilfields) Services Nigeria Limited, which is the largest marine logistics company in Nigeria. He is also the Chairman of Enclo Limited, a Nigerian company providing currency operations support services and security document design and printing solutions to the Central Bank of Nigeria, Misana Energy Resources Limited, an E and P company; 9mobile Nigeria Limited, and several national and international companies.
