Falade, the Oba Aala of FCT has commenced on the tour of Northern Nigeria beginning from the North East to extend and expand intercultural peace and security relationship with the people of the Northern axis alongside their Yoruba brothers and sisters to further strengthen peace, love and unity among the people. The tour was with the collaboration of all Oba Aalas and Obatala worshippers worldwide.
Speaking at the palace of His Royal Highness, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru II, the 15th Mai Tangle of Tangle Kingdom in Gombe state penultimately, the Oba Aala of the FCT said his tour of the Northern states is hinged on his spiritual affiliation with the culture of the Northern axis which has further been fuelled through intermarriage and cooperation with notable Northern traditionalists.
“The bond of cultural unity between the Yoruba’s in Gombe state and their host communities must be strengthened, as affirmed through our cultural resemblance in food, drums, dance and artefacts”. Oba Aala noted that some of the artifacts at the Tangle Museum are of spiritual and cultural background with the Yoruba culture. He said that, the Obatala and Oshosi staff are of quite significance to the Tangle staff and symbol of their lineage.
“In all things, my presence at the Pissi Komta cultural festival this year has further emboldened me to be closer to the cultural activities in the Northern Nigeria because of its diverse importance to Yoruba culture in its entirety. From my findings, it is obvious that the descendants of Obatala and Oshosi must have had a special relationship with the ancestors of the Tangle clan, because our research has pointed to that direction”.
On his entourage are notable Yoruba traditionalists including one of the most vibrant Yoruba actor and cultural ambassador, Chief Aderemi Olofaina, the Majeobaje of Edeland, Oba Oriloye Adesina Bakare, Chief Sunday Orisatuwase among others
