Ondo 2020: APC UK Inaugurates Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom has inaugurated a campaign council to lead the chapter towards ensuring the re-election of the Ondo state governor and candidate of the party, His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN.

The virtual inauguration ceremony was attended by the governor, his aides, political associates and supporters including leaders and members of APC in the Diaspora.

The chairman of the UK council who was also appointed by APC Caretaker Committee and Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee as member of National Campaign Council For Ondo Election, Mr J K Adebola Esq, a loyal son of Ondo and one of APC UK heavyweights, urged the council members to see the assignment as a call to service.

Prince Ade Omole, APC UK Leader opened the inauguration ceremony with a welcome address to the delegates. The governor thanked the organisers, leaders and members of the Diaspora chapter for the honour accorded him. He went further to list some of his achievements which included the implementation of Ore Industrial Park, increase of state IGR, dualisation of roads within the state among others.

Governor Akeredolu urged the United Kingdom chapter to use their social media clout and financial strength to help complement the campaign at home in order to ensure victory at the October 10th gubernatorial election.

The fund raising roll call included leaders and members of the Diaspora chapter. Funds were raised in both Naira and pounds sterling to support the campaign exercise.

The campaign council members include; Barr. Joseph K. Adebola, Chief Obi Madubuobi, Dr Akin Badeji Lee, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, Hajia Jamila Muhammed, Hajia Rakiya B. Abubakar, High Chief Chris IK Onumonu, Hon Jacob Ogunseye, Lady Vivian Osadebay-Ndah, Mr Azeez Theophilus Opeyemi, Mr Udeme Matthew Ukpe, Mrs Onyebuchi Carolyn Adelakun, Otunba Oladapo Habeeb, Prince Ade Omole, Prince Joseph A. Fadele and Prof Ali Alao.
