For the second time in two years, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has emerged as the Sun Newspaper Governor of the Year.
The Newspaper has notified him that he has been nominated as the Sun Newspaper Governor of the Year 2017. He was the same award in 2016.
Rivers State Commissioner of Information, Barrister Emma Okah confirmed the award.
He said that Governor Wike is now the first governor to win the award back to back.
Earlier in the week, the New Telegraph Newspaper announced Governor Wike as the paper’s Man of the Year, 2017.
In the international circle, Governor Wike won the “Global Human Settlements Outstanding Contribution Award ” at the United Nations Plaza in New York. The award is supported by the United Nations Environment Programme.
