Participate Actively In Election, Former Minister Charges Anambra Electorates


The Minister of Aviation in the First Republic , Chief Mbazulike Amaechi has called on the State Electorate to come out enmasse on November eighteenth to exercise their franchise during the gubernatorial election.

He made the call when the State Executive of Ohaneze Ndigbo, paid him a visit at Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area.

Thanking the group for the visit, Chief Amaechi , advised those calling for the boycott of the forthcoming election in the State, to have a rethink, reminding them of the negative implications of their action.

He decried the high level of marginalization against Ndi Igbo and charged Igbos, to unite for their emancipation, as no one will do it for them.

The frontline Nationalist, frowned at the manner Igbos were being sidelined in key federal appointments, and called for the adherence to the federal character principle in giving federal appointment.

Earlier the president of Ohaneze Ndigbo Anambra State Chapter, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene, said that the visit was to seek his fatherly advice reminding him that they have reached an agreement with political stakeholders in the state to adopt the principle of zoning in the governance of the State in addition to allowing the Anambra North Senatorial District, complete its four year tenure in the interest of equity and fairness.
