Ekiti state Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has charged the two newly appointed commissioner for Local Governments and chieftaincy affairs, Mr Ayodeji Alabi and the commissioner for Water resources, Mr Tunde Ogunleye to be instrumental to the social and economic transformation drive of the state government.

The Governor who gave the charge at the swearing in ceremony for the two commissioners at the governor’s office in Ado Ekiti described them as round pegs in the round holes.

Represented by his deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola, governor Fayose admonished them not to be carried away by the luxuries of their new position but to see it as a call to more higher services for the people of Ekiti having already served in assistant capacities.

According to him, the present administration is determined to continue to initiate programmes that could had good values to the lives of the people, hence the need for the commissioners to be diligent and committed while contributing their quotas.

Mr Fayose also called on the continuous support of Ekiti people towards the realisation of his Agricultural sector, Education, Economical and Infrastructural plans for the state.

In their remarks, the newly sworn in commissioners appreciated Governor Fayose for the confidence he had in them with a promise to perform to expectations.

It would be recalled that the state executive council was dissolved a few weeks ago after which they were recalled with the exception of two members which the two newly sworn in commissioners have now replaced.
